Why Choose to Work with Me?

My approach, training and expertise is a little different to a lot of other therapists, coaches and practitioners. I specialise in supporting people to improve their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health and well-being using positive psychology, yoga and meditation. My approach is very holistic, humanistic and embodied.

What does this mean?

  • I work with the mind/psychology (thinking, thoughts, emotions), the body (sensations and feelings) and what is often referred to as the ‘spirit’ (your deeper connection to your Self, others and the world).

  • I welcome all of my clients with unconditional positive regard, kindness and compassion and I see their lives, their perspectives, their talents, gifts and their strengths as sacred and immensely valuable.

  • I believe in my clients and their extraordinary value and goodness, even when they are having trouble doing so themselves.

  • I integrate yoga practices into the coaching and psychology space. This doesn’t mean that we will be doing downward-facing-dogs and you definitely don’t need to have any level of fitness or flexibility. Most of the yoga practices (unless you have booked for a specific yoga therapy or private yoga session) are done sitting on the cosy couches in my therapy space and might include breathing exercises, body scanning and mindfulness.

  • I specialise in creating a safe space for all clients. This means that my sessions are inclusive, welcoming, trauma-sensitive and non-judgemental.

  • I empower my clients to make positive choices, acknowledging that they are the experts in their own life. Unless there is an immediate concern for safety, I will not tell a client what to do. Instead I will work with them to arrive at the best solution for them, and introduce them to tools, practices, ideas and strategies that support them to create a life they love living.

Your well-being is an important investment and you are empowered to make choices that feel good to you. To help you further with your decision, I have included, below, some of the areas that I specialise in as well as some reasons why we may not be a good fit.

I can help you to…

  • Overcome purpose anxiety (the fear that you don’t have a purpose, that you think you have lost your purpose and/or that you will never find your purpose).

  • Learn practical tools to help you live with less stress, less inner criticism and less negative thinking

  • Recover from burn-out and/or a highly stressful experience

  • Recover and heal from relationship break-ups

  • Cultivate inner peace and reduce anxiety

  • Learn how to have a positive and loving relationship with your self.

  • Improve your body image and love the skin you are in

  • Learn how to enjoy the moment and make the most out of your life

  • Work with and heal harmful patterns, habits and addictive behaviours with love and curiosity

  • Discover your strengths, gifts and talents and how you can use them to live a happy and meaningful life

  • Create positive and healthy routines that are fun and that support you to realise your goals

  • Discover your life calling and set intentions to help you align with it

  • Work with your full-spectrum of human emotions, feelings and sensations and release the power that they have over you. This includes the challenging ones like loneliness, anger, sadness and fear.

We might not be a good fit if…

  • You are looking for a diagnosis or to treat a mental or physical illness or condition. In this case, I would recommend consulting your GP who can refer you to a psychiatrist, clinical psychologist or another medical consultant.

  • You are not yet ready to implement practical and positive tools and really just want someone to talk to (perhaps following a traumatic event or while recovering from a mental health condition). You are so welcome to talk as much as you need to when working with me and I specialise in holding a safe and welcoming space. However, if this is all that you are looking for/ready for, I would recommend reaching out to a counsellor.

  • Your main aim is to analyse past traumas and figure out what, when, where and how things went wrong for you over the course of many years. In this case, I would recommend reaching out to a psychotherapist.

How does this all sound? If you have read through all of the above and my style and approach is resonating, I would love to meet with you. Use the button below to book yourself in and we can go from there :)
